The school and local community is invited to participate in a shoe drive to raise funds for PHMS PTA. Donations of gently worn, used and new shoes will be accepted. The amount of money raised is determined by the total weight of the shoes collected.

All donated shoes will be redistributed to microenterprise partners through Funds2Orgs, a for profit social enterprise, and used in developing nations for impoverished people to start their own businesses.

PHMS PTA will use the funds to provide teacher mini-grants and add to the school improvement fund; courtyard redo! Your commitment to Pioneer is appreciated and your time spent fundraising ensures funding for valuable PTA programs throughout the year.

The PHMS Shoe Drive is Now through January 26th, collection is ongoing but specific dates for morning school collection and student and staff raffles are:

                                                          December 4th, 11th 18th

                                                          January 8th, 15th, 22nd

Tuesday is Shoesday! Primary collection location is PHMS, collection dates are Tuesday Mornings during drop off so start asking family, friends, neighbors and co-workers for those out dated, out grown shoes and let’s start this SHOE DRIVE with great success!

In the US alone, over 600 million pairs of shoes are thrown away per year. The materials used to manufacture a pair of shoes are created from chemical compounds that will create health hazards if left to disintegrate openly or in landfills. By donating your gently worn, used and news shoes, your shoes are given a second chance to make a difference.

We can use more hands! If you want to volunteer to help with collections at the school, in your neighborhood or behind the scenes, please reach out to Volunteer@phmspta.org

Pioneer Heritage Middle School PTA would like to THANK everyone who supports our PTA and school. This year we are accepting donations and fundraising for teacher mini-grants and a new fund that is earmarked for school improvements.  One such improvement is creating a mixed-use classroom and space in the courtyard.  Your commitment to Pioneer is appreciated. Your generous donation and time spent fundraising also ensures funding for valuable PTA programs that include Reflections, Red Ribbon Week, 8th Grade Celebration, FEF scholarships and more.
